Jamestown Concert Association announces new season

JAMESTOWN –  The Jamestown Concert Association (JCA) recently announced its 2019-2020 Season titled “Name Dropping”, featuring numerous classical music artists, groups, and ensembles.

On Friday, Oct. 11, the Tesla String Quartet will kick off this new season of musical events. Subsequent performances include the Frisson Ensemble on Nov. 1; The Western New York Chamber Orchestra Holiday Pops Concert (with featured performances from the Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet) on Dec. 4; baritone singer Suchan Kim on March 20; pianist Fabio Menchetti on April 24; and the Mirari Brass Quintet on May 15.

Each performance through JCA is thoughtfully selected by the all-volunteer board. This development is done essentially a year in advance prior to the upcoming season, so with the announcement of this year’s performances, the dedicated team is already planning for the 2020- 2021 season.

“Each board member has a significant role in the creative process, and throughout the season each fills an operational role in helping the performances go smoothly,” explains Sally Ulrich, JCA board president. “We really work as a team, and our rewards are the wonderful performances that every artist brings to the stage in our very own community.”

The Jamestown Concert Association is dedicated to classical music and ensuring that it continues to flourish in Jamestown For more information on upcoming concerts and to find out how to support the Jamestown Concert Association, visit www.jamestownconcertassociation.org.

Presale tickets for these events are available at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts box office (484-7070), Chautauqua Music, and Germaine & Pappalardo. Tickets are also available at the door of each performance.
