“Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice” is a musical biography of one of the most successful and versatile female singers of the 20th century — and one of the most successful recording artists of all time. At the height of unprecedented success, Ronstadt turned away from pop music to explore an astonishing variety of musical styles. Withstanding constant pressure from a risk-averse industry, she insisted on following her musical instincts. Ultimately, her singing voice was stilled by illness and forced her into retirement, but her music and influence remain as timeless as ever.

The Opera House and Village of Fredonia are participants in the Feeding Fredonia Challenge, which runs October 7-18. Patrons are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to the event. Items collected will be given to the Fredonia Food Pantry at the Fredonia Presbyterian Church. The goal is to collect nearly 3 tons of food for neighbors in need! Food items particularly needed include beans, canned fruit, canned meats, canned vegetables, cereals, coffee, dry milk, peanut butter, rice, soups, spaghetti sauce, pastas, canned spaghetti sauce and jelly.
