Wright Park beach will be open from noon to 7 p.m.

The annual Dunkirk Beach Bash, presented by Dunkirk Festivals and Beach Dog Grill and sponsored by Refresco, Putnam Record Agency and Country Fair will be today, Saturday, July 19 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Wright Park. The event features the Dunkirk 1st Ward Falcons 50th Anniversary Fastpitch Softball Tournament beginning at 9 a.m., a pickleball tournament, live and deejay music and family beach activities and games throughout the day.

Wright Park Beach will be open with lifeguards from noon to 7 p.m. and the popular splash pad behind Beach House Grill runs from dawn to dusk.

DJ Joe Gould will be playing tunes and having prize contests from above the beach along the rails from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.Melissa Sauers will take the stage at the Beach House Grill from 2 to 5 p.m. while Giulia Giuffre of Star Sirch Productions is scheduled to deejay from 5 to 8 p.m.

Furious George, who is standing in for Two For Flinching, is the headliner band from 8 to 11 p.m.
