October AARP safe driver class set

BROCTON — Registration is now being taken for the AARP safe driver class being offered by Fellowship Church, 148 W. Main St. in Brocton. The class is from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 22 and 23. Participants must attend both days. The class is open to any age NY licensed driver. Class size is limited.

Fee is $20 for AARP members and non-members pay $25 payable by check made out to AARP. This is the LAST class that will be taught in the Brocton Portland area for this year as the Ahira Hall Memorial Library is not sponsoring classes this fall.

Participants need to arrive 15 minutes early the first day only, and bring a pen, driver’s license, and AARP membership card.

To reserve a spot, call instructor Sheila Chapman at 224-3280. Once registered, if you find you cannot attend please be courteous and call and cancel your reservation as a waiting list is kept.
