JAMESTOWN — Recently, several residents from the Hultquist Place Assisted Living Program at Lutheran attended a special meet-n-greet and educational tour of Alpacaville, an Alpaca farm located in Bemus Point. Alpacaville owner Dan Anderson taught the residents some Alpaca history, explained the many uses for Alpaca fur, and the residents had the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the animals themselves. The visit to Alpacaville was one of the many trips planned weekly for the assisted living program residents to get out into the community to learn and explore. For some of the residents, it was their first time meeting an Alpaca in person.
