Events continue at Anderson-Lee Library

SILVER CREEK — Anderson-Lee Library, located at 43 Main Street in Silver Creek, is open to the public Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., Thursday 10 am to 8 p.m., Friday noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 pm. The library is closed Wednesday and Sunday. In addition, the library will be closed on Monday for Martin Luther King Day.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, computer use is limited and appointments must be made to reserve a time. There is a limit of one hour per day per patron. Please call the library at 934-3468 to reserve a time.

Fax and copy service is available anytime the library is open.

All programming is either virtual or is available via “Take and Make Activity Kits.” Patrons of all ages are invited to stop by and take home a FREE kit for home use. For the month of January, the library is offering a Mystery Bag for younger children. The bag will contain a variety of recycled items and craft supplies for kids to build their own unique creation. A Cozy Hygge Kit will be available for teen and adults. Hygge is a Danish and Norwegian word for a mood of coziness and warmth with feelings of wellness and contentment.

Miss Jill and Miss Amy are still providing storytime, again, on a virtual basis. Check Facebook for all of Miss Jill’s prerecorded stories.

New stories from Miss Jill are posted on Tuesday evenings for Bedtime Storytime, Thursday morning for Pre School Storytime, and Friday morning for Fairy Tale Fridays. Miss Amy will read to school age children via Zoom on Thursday mornings at 10:30. Great for homeschooling families! Please watch the library’s Facebook Page, visit www.andersonleelibrary.org, or call the library for connection information.
