Jessica Sobczak and Peter Lankering were united in marriage at St. Louis Church in Buffalo on Saturday, July 23, 2016. Rev. Monsignor Salvatore Manganello officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Anthony and Cynthia Sobczak of Brocton. She was escorted by her father.

The bride’s gown was an ivory vintage lace Algredo Angelo design, with a sweetheart neckline and crystal embellishments. She also wore a finger tip veil, embedded with a crystal and handmade by her godmother Christine Kern. The brides’ bouquet included a beautiful array of white and yellow gerber daisies and calla lilies.

The bride’s matron of honor was her sister, Jodi Huber of Brocton. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride: Jessica Tracey of Alden; Michelle Nero of Depew; Leah Myers of Warrenton, Virginia; Erin DiCanio of Wheatfield; cousin of the bride Stacey Diate of Haymarket, Virginia; and sister of the groom, Katherine Chaloupka of Mansfield, Massachusetts.

Junior bridesmaids were nieces of the bride, Arianna and Aubrey Huber of Brocton.

The flower girl was Alexandra Chaloupka of Mansfield.

The groom is the son of Jean Lankering and the late David Lankering of Warwick, New York.

He chose his friend Jeffrey Blank of Lancaster as his best man.

Groomsmen included brother of the bride, Anthony Sobczak Jr. of Brocton; nephew of the bride Kasen Jewell of Brocton and friends of the groom, Michael Nuchereno of Amherst; Brian Casillo of Cheektowaga; Christopher Wystepek of Springfield, Massachusetts and Daniel Wystepek of Coventry, Rhode Island.

Ringer bearers were nephew of the groom, Patrick Chaloupka of Mansfield and nephew of the bride, Bentley Huber of Brocton.

A reception was held at The Hotel Lafayette in Buffalo, with catering provided by Pearl Street Bar and Grille.

The bride graduated from Brocton Central High School, Medaille College, and Buffalo State. She is the assistant director of admissions at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island.

The groom graduated from Warwick High School and University at Buffalo. He is a senior engineer with Amgen in West Greenwich, Rhode Island.

The couple resides in their new home in Cranston, Rhode Island.
