New York State Police at Jamestown

GERRY – George C. Austin, 33, of Buffalo was charged with a warrant on Feb. 18. At 11 p.m. New York State Police stopped a vehicle operated by Austin on Route 60 for a traffic violation. A check with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services found Austin to be wanted by the Cheektowaga Police Department for fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. He was transported to Cheektowaga for arraignment.

NORTH HARMONY – Daniel M. Martino, 29, of Corning was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Feb. 18. New York State Police stopped Martino on I-86 for tinted windows. According to police, an odor of marijuana was coming from inside the vehicle and a plastic baggie containing four grams of marijuana was found. Martino was issued appearance tickets for the Town of North Harmony Court.

State Police at Collins

NORTH COLLINS – New York State Police have charged a 15-year-old juvenile with juvenile delinquency on Feb. 18. The investigation was conducted by police after a complaint received by an administrator at North Collins High School. According to police, administrators from another school district notified the North Collins school district of two separate incidents on Feb. 12 and 13. Investigation revealed the juvenile had sent threatening text messages to another student in the other district. The student was charged and petitioned to Erie County Family Court.
