SHERIDAN – Domingo Torres-Rodriquez, 24, of Dunkirk, was charged Fri-day with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office was advised of a situation, and with the help of Silver Creek Police, issued Torres-Rodriquez with an appearance ticket for the Sheridan Town Court.

RIPLEY – Rudy J. Damonti, 31, of Ripley was charged Monday with second-degree harassment after he allegedly sent life-threatening text messages to a victim. Damonti was taken into custody without incident around 1:45 a.m. He was arraigned in Ripley Town Court and was sent to the Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 cash or $2,000 property bail.

ARKWRIGHT – Joseph T. Pieszak, 44, of Dunkirk, was charged Monday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation, forged New York state inspection certificate and failing to yield the right of way when entering the roadway after a traffic stop on Route 83. Deputies stopped Pieszak’s vehicle around noon for failure to yield the right of way and found his license had been revoked due to prior alcohol-related offenses and also allegedly found his inspection sticker was forged. He was arraigned and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail.

• MAYVILLE – Thomas A. Capitano, 26, of West Seneca, turned himself in Friday on a warrant for felony driving while intoxicated. Capitano appeared on the Chautauqua County Wanted List.

MAYVILLE – District Attorney David W. Foley announced the following pleas and sentences before the Honorable John T. Ward in Chautauqua County Court:

• Ronald D. Smith, 48, of Jamestown, was sentenced to 4 years in state prison with 5 years post-release supervision for second-degree attempted arson.

• Jenna L. Philips, 23, of Roosevelt Avenue, Dunkirk, was sentenced to 2 years determinate in state prison with 2 years post-release supervision for fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance concurrent with 6 months in jail for a second count of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and fourth-degree grand larceny.

• Thomas M. Kiley, 37, of Allegheny Road, Irving, was sentenced to 5 years probation for second-degree assault.

• Mary Butts, 21, of King Street, Dunkirk, was sentenced to 60 days in jail and 5 years probation for third-degree robb

Westfield Police Department

On Saturday at about 2:45 a.m. officers responded to a convenience store at 96 E. Main St. for disorderly subjects.

Police reported that they observed several people yelling and screaming obscenities outside the store and that they advised them several times to leave the area. Officers took Steven Trippy, 21, of East Main Street into custody for yelling obscenities and violating the Westfield noise ordinance.

Police report when they were transporting Trippy to the Westfield Police Department they were followed by Chandler Pool, 22, of East Main Street. Pool refused to leave the premises and was charged with trespass.

Joshua D. Eppinger, 20, of Wells Street was arrested for reportedly urinating in the police department parking lot.

All three will appear in the Village of Westfield Court at a later date.

On Sunday at about 12:30 a.m., James T. Gross was charged with speed in zone, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, and resisting arrest.

Police stopped a vehicle driven by Gross on North Portage Street for a reported traffic infraction. Gross reportedly refused to listen to officers and provide proper identification while yelling and cursing at officers. When advised he was under arrest, he reportedly became combative.

Gross was arraigned in the Westfield Village Court. Because he was unable to post bail, he was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
