Sheriff’s Office ask Forestville residents to report car break-ins

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s is investigating numerous car larcenies which occurred in the Forestville area from April 2 into April 3. Some items have been recovered and the investigation is ongoing. The sheriff’s office asks all residents that may have had an entry into their vehicle contact the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office at 363-4232 to make a report.

New York State Police at Jamestown

FALCONER – Bridget Putnam, 21, of Falconer was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated, unlicensed operation, and moving from lane unsafely.

She was stopped on Homestead Street after troopers saw her swerve into the curbing. After being stopped, it was discovered she possessed only a learner’s permit. She reportedly failed field sobriety tests.

She was taken to state police barracks in James-town where her breath alcohol content was reported at .13 percent. She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court.

On Sunday morning, Matthew N. Crisafulli, 27, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating with a suspended registration, and operating without insurance

Troopers stopped him after the New York State Police License Plate Reader alerted the trooper that the vehicle had a suspended registration. The trooper reported Crisafulli also did not have insurance and that he failed sobriety tests.

The trooper transported Crisafulli to state police headquarters in Jamestown where the breath test was reported at .10 percent.

He was issued tickets.

POLAND – On April 7, Zeno Whiteman, 22, of Windmill Road in the town of Randolph was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Whiteman was stopped for a reported vehicle and traffic infraction. The trooper reportedly observed marijuana in the vehicle and found a jar containing less than 25 grams of marijuana. The trooper also reported that Whiteman was in possession of a switchblade.

He was released on an appearance ticket.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office

Jennifer M. Alicea, 20, of Dunkirk, was charged Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana after a report of a fight. Deputies responded to West Shorewood Drive in the town of Dunkirk where Alicea was found in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. No charges were filed as a result of the fight. Alicea will appear in the Dunkirk Town Court.

Westfield Police

Kasey L. Morin, 34, of Academy Street was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI, speeding, failure to keep right, failure to maintain lane and unlicensed operation on Saturday. At 12:33 p.m. Westfield police observed a vehicle on English Street at a high rate of speed and cross the center line and white hazard markings. The operator of the vehicle, Morin was found to be allegedly intoxicated and not to have a driver’s license. Morin’s blood alcohol content was found to be nearly three times the legal limit. She was released on appearance tickets to appear in Westfield Court.
