Two in Jamestown facing drug charges

JAMESTOWN – An investigation into the illegal sale and distribution of crack cocaine led to charges against Rocco A. Beardsley, 27, and Kylie M. Reeves, 20, both of Jamestown. Jamestown Police SWAT executed a search warrant for 43 Sampson St. and found Beardsley, Reeves and a small child in the apartment. Investigators also found a quantity of cocaine and oxycodone pills along with a large sum of cash and other paraphernalia.

Both subjects were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Reeves was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child as it is alleged she was babysitting the two year old while drug activity was occurring. Both were taken to the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.

Anyone who may have information on the illegal sale of narcotics in the city of Jamestown is asked to call the Jamestown Police Department’s anonymous tip line at 483-TIPS.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office

BROCTON – Jefferey S. Lawton, 28, of Fredonia, was charged Friday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, loud muffler, no insurance and fictitious inspection sticker after a traffic stop on Route 20. Lawton was issued tickets and will appear in the Brocton Village Court at a later date.
