MAYVILLE – Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies Sunday charged Garth N. Blanchard, 21, of Mayville with driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and numerous vehicle and traffic charges.

At 3:42 a.m. officers attempted to stop a subject operating an all terrain vehicle on Valley Street. Reportedly Blanchard ditched the vehicle and ran from deputies. He was caught after a foot pursuit.

He was released and will appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court.

Man charged with DWI

CHAUTAUQUA – On Sun-day, Victor Martinez, 39, of Sin-clairville was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving without a valid license by New York State Police from Jamestown.

Martinez was stopped on State Route 430 after the troopers reportedly observed a motor vehicle equipment violation. Troopers said Martinez failed sobriety tests.

Troopers transported Martinez to state police barracks in Jamestown and processed him. He was released to appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court.

Trooper witnesses accident

JAMESTOWN – A trooper stationed at Jamestown witnessed a two-car accident while on patrol on North Main Street.

The trooper was at a red light when he reportedly saw a white caravan driven by Stephanie Grice go through a red light at the intersection at the intersection of North Main Street and Fourth Street. The caravan struck another vehicle driven by a 22-year-old female heading west on Fourth Street. The female was transported by Alstar EMS to WCA hospital for neck pain. Grice was issued a ticket for running a red light.

Suspect found in Buffalo faces charges in Perrysburg

BUFFALO – On Friday, troopers charged Ruston Haynes, 24, of Burning Springs Road in Versailles with third-degree assault after he was detained in the city of Buffalo on an arrest warrant for the charge.

Haynes had been involved in a domestic dispute with a family member in early March in Versailles. During the dispute, he allegedly punched the victim in the face numerous times. He fled the scene and the trooper from Collins was unable to locate him at the time, so an arrest warrant was issued by the Town of Perrysburg Court.

Buffalo Police Department officers located him on Elmwood Avenue in the city. A computer check revealed the warrant and he was taken into custody until troopers arrived. He was arraigned in Perrysburg court.

CARROLL – Ronald L. McIntire, 24, of Kennedy was charged with driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operator and operating without headlights on June 30. At 1:14 a.m. deputies observed McIntire’s vehicle operating without headlights on Ivory Road in the town of Carroll. He was found to be intoxicated and driving with an expired license that was suspended. He was released on appearance ticket.

CHAUTAUQUA – Amber Fisher, 21, of Ashville was charged with failure to keep right on June 30 following a one-car accident. Fisher was traveling west on Route 394 in the town of Chautauqua at 7:10 a.m. when she told deputies she had fallen asleep. Her vehicle crossed the opposite lane of traffic, drifted on to the shoulder before striking a utility pole, shearing off the pole at its base. The vehicle went over an embankment and landed on its roof.

Fisher received minor injuries but not did not receive medical attention. She was issued an appearance ticket.

MAYVILLE – Douglas E. Fischer, 46, of South Erie Street was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct on June 30. At 7:04 p.m. deputies responded to a disorderly person at Crosby’s Market in Mayville. Fischer had allegedly became aggressive, yelling obscenities at staff and damaged several merchandise items in the store. He was arraigned in Chautauqua Town Court and was sent to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.

SILVER CREEK – William L. Flowers, 53, of Grove City, Ohio, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, speeding and operating a motor vehicle while using a mobile phone on July 1. Flowers was stopped for speeding on Hanover Street in the village of Silver Creek at 11:53 a.m. During the stop, Flowers was found to be in possession of marijuana and using a cell phone while driving. He was released on appearance tickets.
