Dunkirk Police have arrested two city men in connection with an alleged armed robbery that occurred early Tuesday afternoon in the area of Lake Shore Drive East and Gazelle Street.

Robert Mangus Jr., 33, of 305 Eagle St. and Darrly J. Bray, 35, of 152 Lake Shore Drive East, were charged with robbery second degree.

According to police, witnesses reported seeing a white male running in the area carrying a shot gun and provided a description of a suspect vehicle and the suspects. With help from Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department, the vehicle was located in Silver Creek and Dunkirk City Court Judge Walter Drag issued arrest and a search warrant. Additional charges and arrests are pending in the case, according to police.
