WESTFIELD — Thomas H. Majkowski, 42, of Brocton was arrested on Saturday for allegedly pumping gas and failing to pay for it. On Saturday at approximately 6:30 p.m., Westfield Police were called to the Kwik Fill gas station on Route 20 in Westfield after a male subject failed to pay for gas he had pumped. After an investigation, the police identified and arrested Majkowski, who allegedly pumped $76.78 in gas and did not pay for it. Majkowski was charged with petit larceny and was issued an appearance ticket.

¯ PERSIA — On June 18 at about 2:05 a.m. patrol responded to a disturbance at a Torrance Place residence. Purportedly Archie F. Powell, 34, Gowanda had been involved in a verbal altercation with a female acquaintance. When police arrived they discovered that the altercation had turned physical, with Powell allegedly striking the woman in the facial area numerous times causing injuries. This altercation occurred in the presence of a young child who fled to a neighbor’s house. Police were met with an uncooperative and belligerent Powell upon arrival and during his arrest Powell attempted to kick officers and escape the police car. He was charged with third-degree assault, child endangerment and obstructing governmental administration. He was arraigned in the town of Persia Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.

¯ PERSIA — On June 17 at 11:55 a.m., Gowanda Police responded to a disturbance at a North Chapel Street residence. Marvin G. Reveal, 36, Gowanda was allegedly involved in a verbal altercation with a female he was familiar with. The altercation quickly escalated into a physical altercation with Revel allegedly punching her in the facial area numerous times, knocking her to the ground. Reveal was arrested and charged with second-degree harassment. He was released and is due to appear in the town of Persia Court at a later date.

¯ PERSIA — On June 22 at around 5:05 p.m., patrol stopped a vehicle on West Main Street. Following a DMV computer check, operator Joseph W. Lilley, 39, Delevan was reportedly found to be driving a vehicle with a suspended registration due to no insurance and no insurance. Lilley was charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended registration and for operating a vehicle with no insurance. He was released and is scheduled to appear in the town of Persia Court at a later date.

¯ PERSIA — On June 23 at 3 a.m., Clint C. Catchot, 24, Perrysburg was allegedly observed by patrol turning left off of South Water Street onto Jamestown Street with the intersection clearly marked for no left turns. Catchot was stopped and allegedly exhibited signs of intoxication. He failed several sobriety tests and refused a breath sample. He was charged with failure to obey a traffic device and for DWI. He was released and is due to appear in the town of Persia Court at a later date.
