¯ Charlotta Thomas, 29, of Fredonia, was charged on July 5 with third-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment.
¯ Patricia Crooks, 56, was charged on July 13 with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and speed in zone.
¯ Ellis Renfroe, Jr., 38, was charged Monday with third-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree grand larceny.

¯ MAYVILLE — On Monday at around 4:40 p.m. Deputies received a complaint of a bad check being issued at a business on Lakeview Drive in Mayville. Upon investigation the issuer, Matthew J. Mescusker, of Bemus Point, had passed a bad check in the amount of $700 to the business in an attempt to cover a line of credit he had with the business. Charges were filed with the Chautauqua Town Court which Mescusker will answer to at a later date.

¯ SPRINGVILLE — On Wednesday, deputies stopped a vehicle on South Cascade Drive in Springville for an expired inspection. The driver, William Thomas, Blasdell was ran through the DMV database and allegedly found to be operating a vehicle while circumventing and interlock device and also had a suspended or revoked drivers license. He was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, circumventing an interlock device, felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and a container violation.
¯ SPRINGVILLE — On Friday, deputies stopped a vehicle on Vaughn Street in Springville for an equipment violation. After a brief investigation David Smercak, 50, Springville was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending bail. Also an 18-year-old female passenger, whose name is withheld, was cited for unlawful possession of marijuana and released. She is due to appear in court at a later date.
¯ COLLINS — On Saturday, deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at a Richardson Road address. Amber Kureczka, 40, Collins, was involved in an altercation between herself and another party where a child was allegedly in the middle of it. Kureczka was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and harassment and taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending bail or her next court appearance.
