Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office

¯ FRENCH CREEK — On Sept. 15 at about 12:45 a.m., sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle for an observed traffic violation on Conway Road in the town of French Creek. The operator was identified as Cassandra N. Morris, 27, of McKean, Pa. Further investigation found that Morris was intoxicated while operating the vehicle.

Morris was arrested and charged with DWI, DWI per se having .08 percent or higher B.A.C. and failure to stop at stop sign. She was processed and released with citations directing her to appear at French Creek Town Court at a later date.

Fredonia Police Department

¯ A Cherry Creek man was sent to the county jail after a Sept. 12 arrest. Bruce Jedrysik, 37, of Cherry Creek, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and possession of burglars’ tools. Jedrysik was held on $25,000 cash/$50,000 property bail.

¯ Bryan Rosario-Laboy, 21, of Dunkirk, was charged Sunday with obstructing emergency medical services.

New York State Police

¯ GERRY — On Monday, troopers arrested Torry Stephens, 36, of Gerry, for second- degree unlawful imprisonment and fourth degree criminal mischief.

Troopers responded to a residence in Gerry for a report of a domestic dispute. Investigation revealed that during an argument, Stephens physically restrained the victim, preventing her from leaving the residence; afterwards, he broke a window.

Stephens was taken into custody and processed at the state police station in Jamestown. Stephens was then arraigned in the town of Charlotte court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ JAMESTOWN — On Tuesday, troopers arrested Anthony Merchant, 25, of Jamestown for unlawful possession of marijuana.

Troopers observed a vehicle attempt to evade a stationary road check on Route 394 in Stow. The troopers pulled the vehicle over and while speaking to Merchant, the driver, the troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of Merchant and his vehicle revealed three marijuana cigarettes.

Merchant was issued an appearance ticket and a traffic ticket and is scheduled to appear in the town of North Harmony court next month.

¯ KENNEDY — On Thursday, troopers arrested Jamie Story, 42, of Kennedy for second-degree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, second degree harassment, trespass and disorderly conduct.

Troopers responded to a call in Kennedy and after determining that Story was the suspect in a harassment and trespass complaint, attempted to place him under arrest. Story became belligerent, using profane language and physically resisting arrest. After a brief struggle, he was taken into custody by the troopers and processed at the state police station in Jamestown.

Story was then arraigned in the town of Ellicott court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.

Erie County Sheriff’s Office

¯ IRVING — On Sept. 14 on Route 438, deputies stopped a vehicle operated by Raymond Silverheels, 31, of Lawtons. Silverheels was arrested on an outstanding trespass warrant from the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.

A DMV check showed Silverheels had no license and was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, speed in zone and unlicensed operation. Silverheels was transported to the Erie County Holding Center pending his court appearance.

¯IRVING — On Monday, deputies responded to a report of a shoplifter at the Native Pride Too gas station on Erie Road. Maria Navarro-Jimenez, 30, of Dunkirk was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance on Monday. Navarro-Jimenez was transported to the ECHC pending bail or a court appearance.
