¯ Brandon Bennett, 34, of Irving, entered a plea of not guilty to an indictment that charges him with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a class E felony; driving while intoxicated, a class E felony; failure to stop at red light, a violation; and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, a violation. The incident occurred on or about July 22, in the City of Salamanca, when the defendant allegedly operated a motor vehicle on a public highway in an intoxicated condition with an open container of an alcoholic beverage and failed to stop his vehicle before entering an intersection. The matter has been adjourned for motions.

¯ Michael F. Stafford, 34, of Perrysburg, waived prosecution by indictment and entered a plea of guilty to superior court information to driving while intoxicated, a class D felony; and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a class A misdemeanor. The incident occurred on or about July 23, in the City of Salamanca, when the defendant operated a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition on a public highway when he knew his driving privilege was revoked. Furthermore, Stafford entered a plea of guilty to driving while intoxicated, a class D felony and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a class A misdemeanor. The incident occurred on or about April 30, in the City of Salamanca, when the defendant operated a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition on a public highway when he knew his driving privilege was revoked. Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 4.

¯ Kasia Lewis, 21, of Jamestown, entered a plea of guilty to seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor. The incident occurred on or about March 21, when the defendant knowingly and unlawfully possessed a controlled substance. Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 4.

¯ STOW — On Nov. 12 Troopers pulled over a vehicle on I-86 in the hamlet of Stow. The driver was identified as Todd Shad, 46, of Corry Pa. During questioning police allegedly smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search reportedly revealed a bag containing marijuana. Shad was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. He was released and is due to appear in North Harmony Town Court on a later date.

¯ STOW — On Nov. 14 Troopers pulled a vehicle over on I-86 in the hamlet of Stow. The driver was identified as Ryan Nelson, 44, of Clymer. While speaking with Nelson police allegedly observed a switchblade knife inside Nelson’s vehicle. He was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. Nelson was released and is due to appear in North Harmony Town Court on a later date.

¯ GERRY — On Friday Troopers stopped a vehicle on Route 60 in Gerry for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Natalie Russo, 25, of Jamestown. While speaking with Russo police allegedly smelled marijuana inside the vehicle. A search purportedly revealed a smoking device with marijuana residue. Russo was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and a traffic ticket. She was released and is due to appear in Gerry Town Court next month.
