¯ FRENCH CREEK — On Sunday at approximately midnight, deputies responded to a physical altercation on Route 474. While responding, deputies observed a vehicle that had allegedly been involved in the incident.

Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the operator as Julie M. Knowles, 47, of French Creek. Investigation reportedly found Knowles to be intoxicated. Knowles allegedly physically resisted arrest, and after a brief struggle, was taken into custody. Knowles was charged with DWI, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and resisting arrest.

DAYTON — On Jan. 17 at around 2 a.m., state troopers responded to investigate a tractor trailer in the ditch on Route 62.

While on scene, troopers received a report that the driver, Danny R. Tucker Jr., 44, of Baxter, Tennessee, allegedly hid something in the snow at a neighboring residence. The homeowner recovered the property, which appeared to be drug-related, and turned it over to the troopers. The property, a pouch, contained three grams of meth and a glass smoking pipe. A subsequent search of the vehicle reportedly found Tucker to be in possession of a Colt revolver without a valid New York State pistol permit.

Tucker was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Troopers were assisted by their Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit and the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
