Fredonia man faces drug charges after traffic stop

BROCTON — A traffic stop on East Main Street in the village this afternoon led to drug charges against a Fredonia man.

Deputies stopped a vehicle and the operator identified himself as Shawn M. Taylor, 37. Through an investigation and a search of the vehicle, Taylor was found to be in possession of 13 bindles of heroin, several Xanax pills and a small amount of marijuana. Taylor was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office

CHAUTAUQUA — On Wednesday at 3:50 p.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped a vehicle on Valley Street in the Town of Chautauqua for an alleged traffic violation. After speaking to the operator it found that Jordan W. Hebner 19 of Westfield was operating the vehicle in while allegedly being impaired by drugs.

Hebner was taken into custody and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, fail to stop at a stop sign and fail to signal.

Hebner was released to a sober party and will appear back in the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date.

¯ On Jan. 11 Andrew A. Sikes, 33, of Silver Creek was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unregistered motor vehicle.

¯ On Jan. 11 Jason W. Quinones, 33, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

¯ On Jan. 14 Olmaris Tirado-Lorenza, 28, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, suspended registration and no insurance.

¯ On Jan, 14 Timothy M. Schearer, 32, of Fredonia was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and uninspected motor vehicle.

¯ On Jan. 14 Joseph M. Gill, 26, of Dunkirk was charged with no insurance and suspended registration.

¯ On Jan. 14 Dakota J. White, 19, of Dunkirk was charged with petit larceny.

¯ On Jan. 16 Kristian Wright, 18, of Sinclairville was charged with third-degree burglary.

¯ On Jan. 16 David P. Taber Jr., 53, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

¯ On Jan. 16 Travonta R. Gatewood, 29, of Fredonia was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding in zone.

¯ On Jan. 17 Alexander Sawyer, 31, of Dunkirk was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

¯ On Jan. 17 April Bennett, 40, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and suspended registration.

¯ On Jan. 18 Aaron Clark, 31, of Fredonia was charged with second-degree criminal possession a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree manufacture of methamphetamines.

¯ On Jan. 18 Robert D. Zimmerman, 62, of Dunkirk was charged with petit larceny and unauthorized use.

¯ On Jan 18 Jose M. Gonzalez-Rivera, 26, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, no exhaust and uninspected motor vehicle.

¯ On Jan. 19 Jose A. Santiago, 51, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

¯ On Jan. 20 Tiana L. Ruiz, 19, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree assault.

¯ On Jan. 20 Bryant A. Collins, 48, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and no headlights.

¯ On Jan. 21 Luis A. Irizarry Jr., 32, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

¯ On Jan. 21 Kaitlin J. Kelleher, 28, of Lackawanna was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding in zone.

¯ On Thursday, Jan. 24, Evan Ward, 22, of Silver Creek was charged with second-degree forgery.

New York State Police

FREWSBURG — On Jan. 21, Troopers responded to a personal injury accident on Oak Hill Road. Investigation revealed that Tyler Oakley, 26, of Frewsburg, was allegedly in an intoxicated condition, driving east on Oak Hill Road, when his truck exited the south side of the roadway and struck a telephone pole, causing extensive damage. Oakley was transported to UPMC Hospital in Jamestown for non-life threatening injuries and a blood sample was taken. Upon Oakley’s release from the hospital, he was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
