Evans Police Department

¯ On July 5, a victim reported to Evans Police that his mailbox, as well as two neighbors’ on Versailles Plank Road, was damaged sometime in the early morning. The damage appears to have been done with a baseball bat. The victim is seeking no further police action, but wishes for the incident to be on record.

¯ On July 5, a victim reported to Evans Police that his vehicle was damaged, while parked at Mickey Rats. The victim stated that the damage was done either July 4 or 5 between the hours of 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. Damage was done to the passenger side doors, right headlight and front bumper. The victim has no suspects and Mickey Rats does not have video that covers the area of the parking lot where the car was parked. Due to the volume of people in the area, the case was closed due to low solvability.

¯ On July 6, a victim reported that $610 was taken from his cash register on either July 5 or 6 at his business on South Main Street. The victim stated that his business was unlocked and closed on both days and that his video surveillance camera was unplugged. The victim suspects an employee may have taken the money, but is unsure at this time. The victim plans to inform Evans Police of any further developments.

Dunkirk Police Department

¯ On June 28, Robert W. Strang III, 48, of Westfield was charged with second degree criminal contempt.

¯ On June 29, Loammi Y. Rivera, 18, of Dunkirk was charged with unregistered motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unapproved helmet, suspended registration and operating without insurance.

¯On June 29, Julian Pagan Rivera, 18, of Dunkirk was charged with unregistered motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unapproved helmet, suspended registration and operating without insurance.

¯ On June 30, Angel P. Ortiz-Rodriguez, of Dunkirk was charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding in zone.
