¯ BEMUS POINT — Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit received a complaint of a suspicious situation, which occurred in fall 2017. Upon further investigation, it was allegedly found that David L. Dickerson, 67, of Bemus Point, did act in a way that was dangerous to two juveniles’ physical, moral and mental welfare. Dickerson was arrested and charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Dickerson is to be arraigned in Town of Ellery Court.

¯ JAMESTOWN — Melissa Williams, 44, of Jamestown, was arrested and charged with three counts of fourth-degree welfare fraud, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, misuse of food stamps (+$1,000) and fourth-degree grand larceny on July 16. It is alleged that from June 1 to Nov. 30, 2016, Williams failed to notify the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services that she was employed and receiving income. This unreported income allowed Williams to receive $1,180 in unentitled benefits. Williams is scheduled to be in city of Jamestown Court at a later date.

¯ WESTFIELD — Shawn Brewer, 48, of Westfield, was charged with five counts of fourth-degree welfare fraud, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, misuse of food stamps (+$1,000) and fourth-degree grand larceny July 16. It is alleged that from March 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017, Brewer failed to notify the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services that he was receiving income from his online eBay stores. This unreported income allowed Brewer to receive $1,765 in unentitled benefits.

¯ SUNSET BAY — On July 15 at roughly 3:15 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction. The operator was identified as Emilee L. Gallivan, 21, of Silver Creek. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Gallivan was allegedly operating her vehicle in an intoxicated state. Gallivan was taken into custody and charged with DWI, DWI per se and driving the wrong direction on a one-way street. Gallivan is scheduled to appear in Town of Hanover Court at a later date.
