¯ POLAND — On Tuesday at about 7:45 p.m., deputies responded to a residence on Second Street for a reported altercation. Upon arrival, deputies located Walter L. Ploss, 54, of Kennedy. After further investigation, it was found that Ploss had allegedly choked another individual and pushed them to the ground after doing so.

Ploss was taken into custody and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood flow and second degree harassment. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned via the centralized arraignment program.
