Man allegedly hit woman through door
GOWANDA — A Collins man faces three criminal charges after allegedly punching a woman who had an order of protection against him.
The Gowanda Police Department responded Oct. 26 to a residential disturbance report and was notified that Donald J. Beers, 25, had a verbal altercation with a female acquaintance. This allegedly escalated into a physical altercation, with Beers allegedly punching the woman through a screen door, damaging the door and causing her facial injuries. Officers then learned Cattaraugus County Family Court has issued an order barring Beers from contacting the woman.
Beers was found, arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated criminal contempt, second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was arraigned in Town of Collins Court and sent to Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $1,000 bail.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Department assisted in this incident by locating Beers and turning him over to Gowanda police.

FRENCH CREEK — A Niagara Falls man is being charged after a physical altercation on Friday evening.
At around 7:30 p.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies responded to an address on Old Road for a reported incident. An investigation found that John K Hudson Sr, 59, did physically harass and obstruct the breathing or blood circulation of another individual. Hudson was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and second-degree harassment.
Hudson was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned in the centralized arraignment process.

¯ Brent Thompson, 38, of North Collins was charged Oct. 26 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and operating a vehicle while using a cell phone. He was released on an appearance ticket for Town of Collins Court.
¯ Kaelyn H. Miller, 20, of Gowanda was charged Nov. 8 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and operating a vehicle while using a cell phone. She was released on an appearance ticket for Town of Collins Court.
