Pennsylvania man charged in Clymer threats

CLYMER — A domestic incident that included threats to two individuals at the four corners here has led to the arrest of a Pennsylvania man.

State Police in Jamestown charged Christopher Nielsen, 43, of Wattsburg, with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, second-degree aggravated harassment and second-degree harassment in the Friday morning incident.

An investigation revealed that during an argument, Nielsen squeezed the victim’s neck with both hands, threatened her life and the life of a third party. Nielsen also sent the victim two threatening emails after she fled the scene.

Nielsen was located at a private residence, placed under arrest and transported to State Police in Jamestown where he was processed. Nielsen was then transported to the Chautauqua County Jail, pending arraignment.

≤ CHAUTAUQUA — On Feb. 24, Justin L Stoll, 25, of Westfield was arrested for alleged fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

At around 7:54 p.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies observed a vehicle that had been reportedly involved in a shoplifting that occurred in the Village of Lakewood. Deputies stopped that vehicle on Route 394 in the Town of Chautauqua. Investigation found that an occupant of the vehicle, Stoll, was in possession of stolen property. Stoll was issued an appearance ticket and is to appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date.

≤ SILVER CREEK — On Feb. 26, Tina L. Hammond, 40, of East Otto was arrested for alleged fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.

At around 12:35 p.m., Deputies responded to an address on Central Avenue for the report of an altercation. Investigation revealed that Hammond allegedly damaged property of another individual intentionally and subjected someone to unwanted physical contact. Subsequently, Hammond was issued an appearance ticket. Hammond is scheduled to appear at the Village of Silver Creek Court at a later date.

≤ FRENCH CREEK — On Feb. 28, Zackary J. Schuk, 25, of Forestville was arrested for alleged seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and second-degree of obstruction.

At around 11:04 p.m., Deputies stopped a vehicle for an observed traffic infraction. Operator Schuk refused to exit the vehicle upon request of Deputies. After being removed from the vehicle, Schuk continued to resist against Deputies. Upon further investigation, Schuk was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Schuk was arrested and charged. Schuk was released with an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of French Creek Court on a later date.

≤ MINA — On March 1, Joseph J. Mcabier, 48, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and Daniel C. Lostosk, 58, of Kent, Ohio were arrested for allegedly snowmobiling while intoxicated.

At about 12:29 a.m., Sheriff’s Deputies checked two snowmobiles stopped in the roadway on Rt. 426 in the Town of Mina. Both Lostoski and Mcabier were found to be intoxicated and taken into custody. Lostoski and Mcabier refused a breath test and were released with appearance tickets after processing. Daniel Lostoski and Joseph Mcabier will appear in Town of Mina Court at a later date to answer their charges.

≤ BROCTON — On March 2, Reynaldo Davila Del Hoyo, 36, of Brocton was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, petit larceny, no seat belt, and consumption of alcohol in motor vehicle.

At approximately 12:20 a.m., deputies of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address in the Village of Brocton for a report of an altercation. Through investigation it was discovered that Davila Del Hoyo did take the property of another person and had no permission to do so. Davila Del Hoyo did leave the scene in a vehicle and was stopped some time later. During the stop and subsequent to the investigation it was discovered that Davila Del Hoyo was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. While attempting to take Davila Del Hoyo into custody he began to resist arrest. Davila Del Hoyo was taken into custody immediately without incident, and charged. Davila Del Hoyo was transported to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for processing and later remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail pending CAP Arraignment.

≤ LAKEWOOD — On Tuesday, Chelby M. Murray, 28, of Sherman was charged with two counts first-degree C felony criminal possession of a forged instrument and two counts of class A misdemeanor petit larceny.

On Nov. 29, 2019 the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office started an investigation regarding a burglary/fraud in the Sherman area. Upon the conclusion of the investigation an arrest warrant was issued for Mrs. Murray out of the Town of Busti Court. On Tuesday, Murray was taken into custody without incident and was brought to the Chautauqua County Jail where she will be arraigned at Centralized Arraignment.

¯ KENNEDY — A Jamestown man was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Wednesday.

State Police in Jamestown pulled Carlos Rivera, 53, on Route 394 after he failed to dim his high beams. While speaking to Rivera, the troopers observed a bag of cocaine in plain sight inside Rivera’s vehicle.

Rivera was placed under arrest and transported to the Jamestown barracks where he was processed. Rivera was then transported to the Chautauqua County Jail.

State Police at Fredonia

¯ A Fredonia man has been charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs after being stopped by troopers Thursday.

New York State Police at Fredonia report that at about 3 p.m., they responded to a 911 call about a reckless driver heading northbound on Route 60 in the town of Pomfret.

Troopers located the vehicle and observed it cross over the double yellow lines multiple times, almost striking vehicles heading southbound. During the interview with Brian Blood, 41, troopers noted obvious signs of impairment, admissions from blood, as well as failure of standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Blood consented to a blood draw after being interviewed by a Drug Recognition Expert.

Blood was arrested and processed at the Fredonia barracks before being released on an appearance ticket for Pomfret town court later this month.

Fredonia Fire Department

At 1:13 on Friday, the Fredonia Fire Department responded to the village of Fredonia’s Water Filtration Plant on Fredonia-Stockton Road for a reported chlorine leak. Fredonia Fire department received assistance from the Chautauqua County Hazmat team in stabilizing the leak. One person was transported to the hospital for evaluation. The situation at the filtration plant caused no interruption of service and remains fully operational.
