NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ Jonathan King, 31, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs — Leandra’s Law. King was stopped Friday on Route 60 in Jamestown for traffic violations. Troopers observed multiple signs of impairment consistent with recent marijuana use. King was taken into custody after failing several field sobriety tests. He is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court later. A child inside the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop was turned over to a family member.

¯ KENNEDY — Jacob Jones, 21, of Kennedy, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs. Troopers responded Saturday to a crash on Leach Hill Road in Kennedy. It was learned that Jones’ vehicle lost traction, causing him to overcorrect and drive into the ditch. An investigation found that Jones was allegedly under the influence of cannabis. He is scheduled to appear in Poland Town Court later. No injuries were reported.

¯ GERRY — Joey Stutzman, 26, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs. Troopers stopped Stutzman Saturday on Route 60 in Gerry for a traffic violation and reportedly observed multiple signs of impairment consistent with recent marijuana use. Stutzman also admitting to snorting a Hydrocodone pill approximately an hour prior to driving. Stutzman reportedly failed several field sobriety tests and is scheduled to appear in Gerry Town Court later.

¯ SINCLAIRVILLE — Kevin Pattyson, 30, of Sinclairville, was charged with second-degree burglary. Troopers responded Sunday to a Sinclairville residence for a reported burglary. An investigation found that the homeowner returned to find Pattyson in one of the bedrooms. Pattyson was physically removed from the residence by one of the homeowners and detained until the patrols arrived. Troopers found Pattyson to be in possession of several undergarments that were identified as belonging to one of the homeowners. He was processed and transported to Chautauqua County Jail.

DUNKIRK POLICE

¯ Pedro Mateo-Juan, 36, of Dunkirk, was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated (child in vehicle), driving with .08 of 1 percent or more of alcohol, no headlights, no taillights, unlicensed operation, consumption of alcohol in motor vehicle and no restraint on back seat passenger aged 4-7.
