Two charged after city burglary
Two men who forced their way into a Lake Shore Drive East residence were charged by city officers on Tuesday.
Dunkirk police report they responded to an address for a burglary in progress. Officers established a perimeter and then made entry into the residence.
As officers were clearing the residence two subjects were located hiding in separate areas of the home. Both Jesus M. Ramos, 37, and Alejandro Gonzalez-Virola, 39, were taken into custody. An amount of property belonging to the residents was found to be in their possession along with a crowbar.
Both subjects were transported back to Dunkirk Police Headquarters where they were booked on charges of second-degree burglary, possession of burglar tools and petit larceny. City officers were assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department and Fredonia Police Department.
