CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ WESTFIELD — Pedro J. Fernandez Saavedra, 36, of Westfield was charged with DWI, speeding and failure to dim headlamps at 1:32 a.m. Thursday on Route 394 in Westfield. after deputies pulled his vehicle over for an alleged traffic infraction. Saavedra was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment and will be in court later.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ RANDOLPH — Caillin Flatley, 36, of Findley Lake, was charged Wednesday with driving while ability impaired by drugs. Troopers responded to Weeden Road in Randolph for a report of a motorist who needed assistance. Upon arrival, troopers report seeing Flatley showing multiple signs of drug impairment. Flatley was taken to the State Police barracks in Jamestown where she was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to allegedly be under the influence of multiple drugs. Flatley provided a blood sample at UPMC Chautauqua and was then taken back to the barracks, processed and released to be in Randolph Town Court later.

¯ SHERMAN — Garrett Nelson, 33, of Sherman, was charged July 23 with third-degree criminal mischief. On July 18, troopers received a criminal mischief complaint that occurred in Sherman. An investigation revealed that Nelson allegedly scratched a person’s vehicle and punctured one of the tires. Nelson later turned himself in to the State Police at Jamestown and was processed. Nelson was then taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ STOCKTON — Blaydon Niles, 30, of Falconer, was charged July 22 with third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree criminal trespass. Troopers responded to a report by a towing company that Niles had allegedly breached the company’s gate, taken his trailer and damaged one of their vehicles before driving away. Ellicott Police officers pulled Niles over on Route 380 in Falconer. Niles was issued tickets by Ellicott Police and charged by troopers. Niles was processed at the State Police at Jamestown barracks and will be in Stockton Town Court later.

¯ BUSTI — Leandro Weidner, 31, of Jamestown, was charged July 21 with driving while intoxicated after troopers helped a motorist on the side of the road on Baker Street Extension. The driver of the vehicle, Weidner, was placed under arrest after allegedly failing several field sobriety tests and then allegedly provided a breath sample of 0.13% at the State Police at Jamestown barracks. Weidner will be in Busti Town Court later.
