JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— A Jamestown duo is facing charges after a vehicle was reported stolen from a parking lot. Around 9:13 a.m. Thursday, Jamestown police responded to a report of a missing vehicle at a parking lot on West Eighth and North Main streets. The victim reported that his two pet rabbits were in the vehicle, along with a substantial amount of cash.

Shortly before noon, officers located the stolen vehicle in the parking lot of a south-side business. Officers made contact with two subjects approaching the vehicle who were identified as 34-year-old Jennifer L. Conti, and 49-year-old Charles E. Thomas Sr., both of Jamestown. During the investigation, it was determined that Conti had been operating the vehicle, and Thomas was the front seat passenger. Both Conti and Thomas were placed into custody and transported to the Jamestown City JaiWhile back at the jail, officers located a small quantity of narcotics in Conti’s property and discovered there was a stay away order of protection between the two. Conti was charged with second-degree criminal possession of stolen property and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Thomas was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and second-degree criminal contempt. Both were held in the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment. The victim’s property was returned to him, including the two pet rabbits which were unharmed.

— Two city residents are facing drug and weapons charges. At around 6:26 p.m. Friday, officers conducted a traffic stop on Tower and English streets on a black Jeep Wrangler for an observed traffic violation. The occupants of the vehicle were identified to be Stephanie M. Armstrong, 33, and Demeatrice E. Maddox, 36, both of Jamestown. Through investigation it was found that Armstrong and Maddox were in possession of a small quantity of Cocaine. It was also determined that Maddox was in possession of a loaded handgun.

Maddox attempted to flee on foot from officers but was subsequently taken into custody after a brief pursuit. He was found to be a convicted felon on Parole for second-degree criminal possession of a Weapon. , In addition, charges include unlawful possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device, and both were charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. They were to be in city court later.

— At around 2:20 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the South Side of Jamestown for a reported disorderly person. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the parties involved. Upon further investigation, it was found that Jastic M. Anzalone, 26, of the city, entered the victim’s vehicle through a window, pulled the victim’s hair, and struck the victim in the face.

Anzalone was taken into custody without incident, and transported to Jamestown City Jail, where she was charged with second-degree harassment.

— Amber L. Conrad, 38, of Jamestown was arrested Friday on outstanding warrants out of the city of Jamestown. Further investigation found that Conrad was wanted out of Pennsylvania for a Probation Violation. In addition to her outstanding warrants, Conrad is additionally being charged with Fugitive from Justice and is being held pending arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

PORTLAND — A town resident was charged after a 9-1-1 hang-up call.

Around 1:19 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a residence. After further investigation it was found that 24-year-old Kody C Cambria had committed third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, and had outstanding warrants.

Cambria was taken into custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment. He will be in town court at a later date.

POMFRET — A town resident was charged after an accident Wednesday. Just before 4 p.m., deputies responded to a one vehicle motor vehicle crash. Through an investigation it was found that the operator, 29-year-old Adam Korzeniewski, was driving while intoxicated.

Korzeniewski was transported to a Sheriffs Office Substation and was released. He will be in town court later.
