ERA Team to host local dropoff for Chautauqua County Rural Ministry

Always ready to lend a hand to help a good cause, ERA Team VP Real Estate will be opening its doors during this holiday season, to accept donations of pantry items for the Chautauqua County Rural Ministry.

CCRM opened an emergency food pantry in 1979 to meet the unmet food needs of those in our community. Over the years, the pantry has grown to not only provide food assistance, but educational and nutritional information as well. In October, the Emergency Food Pantry provided 140 households, consisting of 349 people, with food to help make ends meet. An additional 103 families benefited through the Food Express Program. This totaled 2,654 meals. “So many of the families who frequent the pantry are the working poor; those who need a hand up, not a hand out.”

“This event is a wonderful way to get together with the members of our community to work for a great cause,” Bill Soffel, broker/owner of ERA Team VP, said.

The new office is located at 35 E. Main St. in Fredonia, and will be accepting non-perishable food items from Nov. 26 until Dec. 19, daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Take some time to stop by with a donation.
