JAMESTOWN – The Greater Chautauqua County-Jamestown Airport is pleased to announce a significant reduction in ticket pricing from Silver Airlines for express passenger service to the Cleveland Connection.

“We were notified on Dec. 12, 2013 of this significant and welcomed reduction in pricing to $49 one way or $98 round trip for our regional traveling convenience,” said Airport Manager Sam Arcadipane.

The new fares are now in effect and Silver Air is working hard along with United Airlines to populate the information through the World Wide Web to reflect the change.

“Over the coming weeks, we will be conducting an aggressive community outreach to get this information out to our region,” Arcadipane said. “We are gaining excellent cooperation from local businesses, educational and commercial entities to partner with the airport and airlines to make this successful.”

Along with competitive pricing, the new fares give regional air travelers fast and convenient use of their regional airport. The Chautauqua County-Jamestown Airport offers free parking, expedient boarding and is less expensive overall than using other distant airports. Additionally, via the Cleveland Hub Connection, regional residents can reach dozens of United destinations through more than 150 daily departures through eight airlines, along with United Express offering great Caribbean hops from additional locations in the southern United States.

Acting County Executive Stephen Abdella and Airport Manager Arcadipane thanked the County Airport Commission, Silver Air Marketing Division, Chaut-auqua County Chamber of Commerce, Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena, Lucy-Desi Center, Seneca Allegheny Casino and others involved for the participation in attracting and helping to promote these great prices.
