Phillips Lytle LLP attorneys honored by NYS Bar Association

BUFFALO – Twelve attorneys from Phillips Lytle LLP, one of the region’s best known law firms, were honored by the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) for their pro bono work under the auspices of the Empire State Counsel Program. Included in the honor is Phillips Lytle LLP of Jamestown Attorney Gregory L. Peterson.

Established in 2006, the Empire State Council Program gives special recognition to NYSBA members who perform 50, or more, hours of pro bono service during the calendar year.

Phillips Lytle attorneys cited for the pro bono work include: William D. Christ; Spencer L. Durland; Chad W. Flansburg; Lawrence W. Gallick; Timothy W. Hoover; Myriah V. Jaworski; Kenneth A. Manning; Susan M. Marriott; Gregory L. Peterson; Jennifer A. Shah; William J. Simon; and Geanne M. Zanatta.

These attorneys are from Phillips Lytle’s Buffalo, Jamestown and Rochester offices.

In 2013, Phillips Lytle donated more than 2,473 hours of free legal assistance to individuals and non-profit organizations that would not otherwise be able to afford attorney services.

The attorneys were honored during a luncheon on Jan. 30 at the Hilton New York, in New York City, as part of the state bar association’s annual meeting.
