CUBA – On April 5, Cornell University Cooperative Extension will sponsor the 10th Rural Living Expo. The program will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m. with lunch provided. The opening session will be “Birding in Allegany & Cattaraugus County,” followed by four concurrent sessions with classes in each session which one can choose from.

This program brings together presenters from a broad background to help participants develop new skills and techniques for home improvement, health and wellness. A sample of this year’s topics: Soil improvement for the home garden and landscape, pressure canning low acid foods, overview of geothermal, wind & solar, season extension, geocaching 101, maximizing space in your garden and many more.

The program will be held at the Cuba-Rushford High School located on Route 305, one mile north of I-86, Exit 28 in Cuba. There is a cost for this program and pre-registration is required.
