David I. Lipsey joins Lawson Boating Heritage Center board of trustees

The Lawson Center is pleased to announce David I. Lipsey has been elected to the Board of Trustees.

David was raised in Bemus Point and grew up on Chautauqua Lake. A graduate of Jamestown Community College, Dave attended Western Kentucky University. He served four in the United States Air Force, including a tour of duty in Viet Nam.

For more than 25 years, he has been the owner of the Lipsey Insurance Agency. For the past 10 years, David has been Chairman of the Board at Chautauqua Patrons Insurance Company and has served as a director for 34 years.

David is the Deputy Mayor of the Village of Bemus Point and serves on the Town of Ellery Youth Recreation Board. He has been a driver for the Red Cross blood drive for 20 years.

David is the father of 4 grown daughters and has 6 grandchildren.

Other members of the Lawson Center’s board include: Anthony Hopfinger, President; David Wesp, Vice-President; Joseph Mitchell, Treasurer; and Patricia Baldwin, Secretary;

Merl W. Baldwin Jr., David Bargar, David Graper, David S. Lawson Jr., and William Locke.

Founding trustees emeriti are: William R. Reynolds III, Andrews S. Robinson, and Marlin Younker.
