HAMBURG – The Erie County Agricultural Society, Crystalyx, Shamel Milling Co. and Hamburg Gaming are proud sponsors of the 2nd Annual Empire State Beef Classic on May 2-4 in the Showplex building on the Fairgrounds.

This is a show that is open to exhibitors of all ages and gives individuals experience prior to showing at their local county and/or state fair. The show will have a Junior Team Fitting Competition along with a Junior Skill-a-Thon Competition that will be held on May 3 along with an exhibitor dinner followed by Showmanship classes that will be held at 7 p.m. with the judge being Mike Sinon of Poughkeepsie. The open heifer show, followed by the open steer show, will be on May 4 at 10 a.m. with the judge being Shane Bedwell from Fort Collins, Colo.

The early entry deadline is April 11. Late entries will be accepted up until 10 p.m. on May 3.
