Hanover Community Chamber holds appreciation luncheon

IRVING – The Hanover Community chamber of Commerce held its annual Business Appreciation Luncheon at The Colony House Steak and Seafood Restaurant recently.

Board President Kelly Borrello served as master of ceremonies for the event. Guest speakers included Silver Creek Mayor Nick Piccolo, who spoke about economic development in the village; Craig Colburn, director of member development for the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce, who spoke about front-end service and the ability to all work together to drive foot traffic through the doors of local business; and Todd Trannum, president and CEO of the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce, who gave a brief overview of the state of the County Chamber and its involvement with the local chambers.

Thirty business and community leaders attended the event. Prizes were raffled off and special thank yous go to Smith’s Tru Value, Hey Jude Sign Company, Pinewood Cottage Bed and Breakfast, Cabana Sam’s, The Colony Restaurant, People Inc. and EcoLabs for donating prizes.

The Hanover Community Chamber of Commerce has several events planned over the next several months including its next board meeting open to the local Chamber members scheduled for May 13 at 5:15 p.m. at Cabana Sam’s. Anyone interested in finding out more about the Chamber is encouraged to attend. Other events include a Countywide Mixer on June 19 at Cabana Sam’s, July 3 Event at the Fireman’s Grounds before the fireworks (music), the annual Silver Creek Yard Sale in late July and early August, involvement with the Grape Festival in September, Restaurant week support in October and Small Business Saturday in November.
