Do you feel like the financial pressures of life are standing between you and home ownership? Are you looking to buy your first home, but are unsure where to start? Chautauqua Opportunities is hosting a Home Buyer’s Education Course for anyone who is looking to purchase a home. These courses will be held on June 19 and June 26 from 5 to 8 p.m at. the Laughlin Center, 402 Chandler St. in Jamestown, and July 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

COI will offer an orientation which will provide an overview of the process for those who are interested in purchasing a home such as maintaining your budget, understanding credit, shopping for a home, getting a mortgage and keeping your home.

If you’re interested in more information or would like to set up an orientation for the home buyer education course, contact a counselors in Dunkirk at 366-8176 or in Jamestown at 661-9430. This class is for educational purposes and does not automatically qualify someone to purchase a home. Once completed, the certification is good for one year.
