Motorcycle run June 21 to benefit Child Advocacy Program

JAMESTOWN – Members of the Brothers By Choice motorcycle club are coming together on June 21 to raise funds that will benefit the Child Advocacy Program in Jamestown. The Child Advocacy Program, or CAP, helps sexually abused children speak up and begin to heal.

Anyone with a motorcycle is invited to come out for the Brothers By Choice’s motorcycle run that day. The run will begin at the Child Advocacy Program’s office, 405 West 3rd St. in Jamestown, and then follow a route that lets them take a relaxing lunch stop at Cross Roads Farm and Craft Market in Westfield. They will enjoy lunch specials and other discounts from the market’s vendors before continuing on to finish the run at The Pad in Kennedy.

Registration for the event is from 9-10 a.m. Kickstands go up at 10:15. The cost is $20 per bike, with an additional $10 fee per passenger. There will also be a 50/50 drawing at the Cross Roads. Proceeds will go directly to the Child Advocacy Program.

Members of the Child Advocacy Program will set up a table at the Cross Roads Farm and Craft Market to help spread the word about their mission. The public can learn more about the organization at that time. In addition, motorcycle enthusiasts can check out the “Mad Dipper,” a vendor who will be at the market that day in honor of the motorcycle run. The Mad Dipper customizes helmets, ATVs, motorcycles and more.

For more information about the Brothers By Choice Motorcycle Run, call Dave Huber at 483-1748. For more information about Child Advocacy Program, see www.capjustice.org.

Open from the first week in May until the last Saturday before Christmas, Cross Roads Farm and Craft Market, 6017 Westfield-Sherman Road (County Route 21) in Westfield, is a charming, rustic destination. The cooperative is always looking for more vendors and artists. For more information, visit www.TheCrossRoadsMarket.com or check out their Facebook page. Stop by on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
