Pizza Hut to host ‘Fun’draiser for Laurel Run Tuesday

The Pizza Hut on Route 60 in Fredonia will hold a Laurel Run “Fun”draiser on Tuesday.

Throughout the day, the restaurant is willing to donate 20 percent of each order to Laurel Run. To have Pizza Hut donate 20 percent of your order to Laurel Run, simply tell your server that you are there to support Laurel Run. The fund-raising promotion also applies to take-out orders and delivery orders (within the Fredonia area), so if you call to place your order, let Pizza Hut know you are supporting Laurel Run. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The 18th annual Laurel Run will be held July 18-19. The event was created by Wayne and Elaine Hotelling of Silver Creek in honor of their oldest daughter, who has Down syndrome. Laurel Run was established to raise public awareness about the potential existing within everyone who has a disability.

Money raised through Laurel Run is directed to Filling the Gap Inc., which works with The Resource Center to support people with disabilities in Chautauqua County. Laurel Run proceeds are used in two ways – to pay for disability awareness and prevention initiatives in Chautauqua County and to enhance employment and work training opportunities for people with disabilities.

For more information on the Pizza Hut fundraiser, call the restaurant at 672-4044. For information about Laurel Run, call 934-3952 or 661-4735, or visit www.laurel-run.com.
