Planning Board to hold workshop for Athenex project

The Dunkirk Town Planning Board will hold a workshop at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the Town Hall located at 4737 Willow Road. The purpose of the workshop is to continue review on the Athenex Project.

Santa Claus coming to Forestville

The Forestville Fall Festival Committee along with The Forestville Fire Dept. are hosting an evening with that ”jolly old man” — Santa Claus! He will be arriving on a horse drawn wagon at the Forestville Fire Hall on Saturday, Dec. 16.

Santa will be present from 6-8 p.m. Doug and Linda Fairbanks will be giving rides on their horse-drawn wagon during this time. There will be hot cocoa, cookies and a treat from Santa.

Children will be able to make their own Christmas ornaments while waiting to set on Santa’s lap.

Reed to hold town hall meeting in Silver Creek

Congressman Tom Reed will hold a town hall meeting on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Silver Creek High School cafeteria, 1 Dickinson St. Silver Creek.

Larson-Timko accepting toys

David Dengler, in conjunction with The Resource Center and the Marine Corps Reserve, are pleased to announce for the sixth consecutive year, new and unwrapped toys will be accepted at the Larson-Timko Funeral Home, 20 Central Ave., Fredonia from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Dec. 12. The toys will be distributed in Chautauqua County.

Larson-Timko Funeral Home offers numerous cremation and burial options and serves the Fredonia, Dunkirk and surrounding communities.

Citizens for a Better Cassadaga will meet on Wednesday

The Citizens for a Better Cassadaga will meet on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Cassadaga Library, 18 Maple Ave. This is an organizational meeting for the second annual WINTER FESTIVAL to be held on Feb. 10 and 11. Any organizations or individuals that would like to participate are encouraged to attend.
