CASSADAGA — The village board would like to let residents know that the highway department will be oil and stoning Lakeview Avenue, Pettit Place, upper Pennington Road and North Shore Park today and Friday.

Brooks, TLC holding raffle drawing

There are over a dozen theme baskets, donated by hospital departments, which are on display for an exclusive sneak preview and raffle ticket pre-sale this week. The baskets will be on display both days from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Brooks Memorial Hospital lobby and Friday at TLC-Lake Shore Health Care Center Cafeteria.

There are 20 tickets per sheet. One sheet costs $10 or three sheets cost $20.

Drawing will take place on Friday, Aug. 24 at the Brooks-TLC BETTER TOGETHER golf tournament. All net proceeds will be used toward the purchase of medical equipment at both campuses. Winners need not be present and will be contacted the Monday after tournament day.

Healthy Eating on a Budget

FREE Healthy Eating Classes are offered by Eat Smart New York, Western Region. Learn how to stretch food dollars with helpful information, tips and tricks from Eat Smart New York nutritionist, Angie. Angie will provide a cooking demo and samples will be provided. All are welcome! Classes will be held at the Mary E. Seymour Memorial Free Library, 22 N. Main St., Stockton.

Class will be every second Thursday beginning Aug. 9 at 6:30 p.m.
