Dunkirk lists garbage pickup schedule

Dunkirk City Hall will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019 for New Year’s Day.

As per the 2018 curbside collection schedule, rubbish in the Tuesday collection zone (District B) will be picked up on Wednesday, Jan. 2. Rubbish in the Wednesday collection zone (District C) will be picked up on Thursday, Jan. 3. Rubbish in the Thursday collection zone (District A) will be picked up on Friday, Jan. 4. Rubbish in the Friday collection zone (District D) will be picked up on Saturday, Jan. 5.

Copies of the curbside collection schedule, which are valid until Feb. 28, are still available in the City Clerk’s Office, City Treasurer’s Office and Public Works Department, as well as the city’s website www.dunkirktoday.com.

Al Tech/D.S.S. retirees to meet Jan. 5

There will be a breakfast meeting of the Al Tech/D.S.S. Retirees Breakfast Club, on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 9 a.m. at the Bob Evans Restaurant, 3877 Vineyard Drive, Dunkirk. All retirees are welcome to attend.

County Dems to meet Jan. 3 in Jamestown

The Chautauqua County Democratic Committee will be meeting Thursday, Jan. 3 at 6 p.m. at the Taco Hut, 203 East 3rd Street. Anyone interested in running for public office, particularly County Legislature, is welcome to attend the meeting to learn more information.
