Dementia behaviors workshop set for Feb. 16

Being a caregiver for someone with dementia can be stressful and demanding. Get help at a workshop that will provide practical information and resources to help caregivers appropriately respond to the most common dementia-related behaviors. The workshop will be held at the Bemus Point Library, 13 Main St., Bemus Point on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 1 to 2 p.m. This is a free informational workshop presented by Chautauqua Opportunities Alzheimer’s Services. Infinity Center plans music, arts camp

The Infinity Center will host a four-day ‘Spring Into Music and Arts’ day camp from Tuesday, Feb. 19 to Friday, Feb. 22. Students will experience a variety of art, music, and theater activities. Make cool art, script and film a movie, join a band, and explore instruments, all in four, fun-filled days. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. daily. Students ages 6-12 welcome.

Kosciuszko Club sets election of officers

The Kosciuszko Club, 252 Nevins St., Dunkirk, will hold election of officers on Sunday, Feb. 17 at noon. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and will be locked at noon. Members only can participate.

Fredonia Food Pantry open Feb. 16

On Saturday, Feb. 16, The Fredonia Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. until noon at Fredonia Presbyterian Church at 219 Central Ave. The pantry serves the needs of residents of Fredonia, area code 14063, Pomfret, Sheridan, and Laona. All guests receive one or more bags of non-perishable food. Number of bags given out depends on family size.

Toastmasters Club to hold leadership training session

Afraid of public speaking? Promoted to management? Starting a new business?

Join Concord Spellbinders Toastmasters Club for our world renown leadership training session this Wednesday, Feb. 13, SUNY Fredonia, Jewett Hall, room 118.

Our meetings are powerful, positive and exciting. We meet second and fourth Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. and the meeting ends at about 8:15 p.m. This is an opportunity for our members and guests to learn more about presentation tips, business networking and for advanced speeches.
