No tickets left for spaghetti dinner

Through pre-sale tickets, the Lakeshore Humane Society’s Spaghetti Dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Blessed Mary Angela Parish Social Center (St. Hedwig’s), 324 Townsend St., Dunkirk, is sold-out. Although there will be no dinners sold at the door, all are welcome to come to participate in the basket and 50/50 drawings, which are also part of this event to benefit the Lakeshore Humane Society. Hanover county/town taxes due

Property owners are reminded that this Thursday is the last day to pay 2019 county/town taxes with 1 percent penalty.

Hanover Town Clerk Janine Salzman reminds Hanover taxpayers that taxes can be paid at the Hanover Town Clerk’s office, located at 68 Hanover St., Silver Creek, during regular business hours.

Payments made between March 1 and April 1 will be assessed a 2 percent penalty.

Silver Creek Village Board meeting is today

The Silver Creek Village Board will be holding a workshop today, at 8 p.m. in the Silver Creek Village Hall located at 172 Central Avenue.

Old-fashioned Barn Dance set for Friday

An Old-fashioned Barn Dance will take place Friday from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Fredonia Grange No. 1, 58 W. Main St., Fredonia. Costs are: adults: $7, students: $5, ages 12 and under free. Dances include squares, contras, mixers and more. The event is beginner friendly, family friendly. No experience is needed. For details, call Joe at 679-8426.
