Dunkirk Town Board to meet Wednesday

The Dunkirk Town Board will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, March 6, at 6:45 p.m. or at the conclusion of their scheduled public hearing — whichever should first occur. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct any other lawful business to come before the town board.

Silver Creek Central Key Club Italian Night dinner fund-raiser

The Key Club of the Silver Creek Central School District will host an Italian Night Dinner fund-raiser Wednesday, March 6 from 3 to 6:30 p.m. in the High School cafeteria, 1 Dickinson St.

The menu will be a choice of spaghetti (with or without meatball) OR fettuccini Alfredo, salad and roll. Adults eat for $7; senior citizens and kids eat for $5. See Key Club members for pre-sale tickets.

Coffee with the Mayor set for Wednesday

Coffee with Fredonia Mayor Landis will take place Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Village Hall, 9-11 Church St., Fredonia.

Girl Scout Troop 20258 will hold cookie booths at the following locations:

Tuesday, March 5 at Dunkirk City Hall, 342 Central Ave. from 3 to 5 p.m.

Friday, March 8 at Rick’s One Stop, 327 Lake Shore Drive E., Dunkirk from 5 to 8 p.m.

Saturday, March 9 at PetSmart Dunkirk, 3957 Vineyard Drive from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Saturday, March 9 at DKLazer Dunkirk, 314 Central Ave. from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“Freezin for a Reazen” cancer benefit set for today

The Cherry Creek Sno-Goers in conjunction with Roswell Park Alliance Foundation are hosting “Freezin for a Reazen” to benefit cancer research on Sunday, March 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cockaigne Resort, 1439 Thorton Road, Cherry Creek. The event includes a vintage snowmobile ride and show from 10 a.m. to noon, bikini top and costume parade from noon to 3 p.m., chance auctions, 50/50, big ticket raffles and more. New Hours of Operation for Gowanda Urgent Care and Medical Center

Gowanda — Brooks-TLC Hospital System, Inc. has announced effective today, service hour changes at the Gowanda Urgent Care & Medical Center located at 34 Commercial St., Gowanda.

The Gowanda Urgent Care & Medical Center provides primary care, urgent care, laboratory services, outpatient physical therapy and imaging. Hours for each of these services are:

Urgent Care: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (seven days a week)

Primary Care: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Weekdays)

Laboratory Services: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Weekdays)

Physical Therapy: 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Tuesdays & Thursdays)

Imaging: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (seven days a week)

For questions regarding this change or to schedule new appointments, patients are asked to call 532-8100.

Villenova Grange to host pancake brunch

The Villenova Grange will host a pancake brunch on today from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the grange hall, located at Route 83 and 322 (Balcoms Corners) in South Dayton. Tickets are available at the door and are $8 for large, $7 for small. The brunch will benefit the South Dayton food pantry; those who bring food pantry donations will receive half price brunch tickets. Call 965-4292 for more information.

Chautauqua County Planning Board to Meet

The Chautauqua County Planning Board’s monthly meeting will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5 in Room 331 of the Gerace Office Building, 3 North Erie Street, Mayville. Meetings of the County Planning Board are held on the first Tuesday of every month and are always open to the public.
