Literacy Volunteers book sale underway

Looking for a good book to read? 21 East Bookstore has an eclectic selection of used books. Enjoy a good book and support a worthy cause. The LVCC Bookstore is located at 21 E. Second St., Dunkirk and is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The next Literacy Volunteer Book sale will be Thursday, March 14 through Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds benefit adult literacy.

Nar-Anon Family Support Group

For families and friends of those suffering with addiction: Beginning on March 17, “Hope for Today,” a Nar-Anon Family Group, will meet on Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m. at the Fredonia Grange Hall, 58 W. Main St. in Fredonia. Nar-Anon Family Groups are for those who know or have known a feeling of desperation concerning the addiction problem of someone very near. This support group will be sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua. See https://www.nar-anon.org/ for more information.

American Legion Post 59 St. Patrick’s Day party set for Saturday

The American Legion Post 59, will be hosting The Freeze for their St. Patrick’s Day party, Saturday, March 16 from 8 to 11 p.m. at Post 59, 156 E. Main St., Fredonia. All members and guest are welcome at no cost.
