Cassadaga brush pick-up today

The Village of Cassadaga will be conducting a brush pick-up today. Cut any brush, shrubs and limbs for the pick-up four feet in length or less and pile at the curb with the ends all facing one way. You may also place leaves, grass clippings and small sticks in refuse cans or piled together on the ground at the curb.

Collins Public Library concert series welcomes Creek Bend

The Collins Public Library, located at 2341 Main St., Collins, will present this year’s first performance in the Music in the Library Concert Series on Friday, April 12 at 7 p.m. This free concert will be presented by classic bluegrass band Creek Bend. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Citizens for a Better Cassadaga will meet on Thursday

The Citizens for a Better Cassadaga will meet on Thursday, April 11, at 7 p.m. at the Cassadaga Library, 18 Maple Ave., Cassadaga. The community calendar and upcoming events will be discussed. All area residents are encouraged to attend.

Annual Veterans Walk-a-thon set for Saturday in Jamestown

On Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the 12th annual “They marched for us, let’s walk for them” walk-a-thon will take place, beginning at the Riverwalk / National Comedy Center on West Second Street in Jamestown. The event is hosted by Chautauqua County’s Sons of the American Legion, Legion Riders and American Legion Auxiliary. Walk for pledges, sponsor someone to walk, donate for a good cause or come to enjoy the community.

Hanover Legion Post 148 to hold annual meat party

Hanover Memorial Legion Post 148 will hold its annual meat party on Saturday, April 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Silver Creek VFW, 13 N. Main St., Silver Creek. The event includes a 50/50 drawing, basket drawing, and drawings for prime rib, sausage, boneless chicken, Angus burgers, extra jumbo shrimp and steaks. Refreshments will be served.
