Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association monthly meeting will be held Tuesday, April 23 at 7 p.m. at 4578 Cemetery Road, Stockton. All members are urged to attend.

Sinclairville Free Library news

The Sinclairville Free Library invites those interested in the hobby of genealogy to visit the library on Thursday, April 25 at 6 p.m. for Genealogy Lab. This is an opportunity for in-person assistance and networking with other amateur genealogists. The Library Edition of Ancestry.com is available for public use at the library during any of the library’s open hours, and personal assistance in using this research tool is available during Genealogy Lab. An Easter crafts program will be held on Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and an Earth Day crafts program will be held on Monday, April 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. Children age 8 and under must be accompanied by a caregiver during crafts programs. The library will be closed on Friday, April 19 and Monday, April 22 for the Easter holiday. The Board of Library Trustees will meet at the library on Wednesday, April 24 at 6 p.m. Board meetings are open to the public. The library is located at 15 Main St. in Sinclairville. Sheridan Post 6390 VFW Auxiliary Bake Sale Friday

The Auxiliary of VFW Post 6390 in Sheridan will hold a bake sale this Friday, April 19, in the lobby of the post located at 2556 Route 20.

It will be held during the regular Friday night fish fry dining hours beginning at 4:30. Proceeds will go toward Auxiliary efforts to support veterans and community.

Westfield school

construction to begin

Westfield Academy and Central School will be starting work on the front entrance portion of the Capital Outlay Project. Work is anticipated to start Friday with substantial completion scheduled by April 26. All aspects of the work to be completed have been reviewed. The safety of all students and visitors is the utmost priority along with keeping disruption of the normal routine of the students to a minimum. During the April Break, there will be no access to the building via the Main Entrance. Access to the building will be limited to the entrance by the cafeteria. If a disruption to student routine is needed when school resumes, another notification will be sent out. All questions and concerns regarding access to the building can be addressed to Josh Brumagin, General Maintenance Mechanic, at jbrumagin@wacs2.wnyric.org.

Revitalize Dunkirk general meeting set for Thursday

Forestville Fire District Board meeting set

The Forestville Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners will conduct its regular monthly meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Forestville Fire Station, located at 18 Chestnut Street in Forestville.
