Brocton/Portland Food Pantry announces summer hours

The Brocton/Portland Food Pantry, serving the Brocton Central School district, located at 7081 East Route 20, Westfield, is open. Pantry hours are every Tuesday and Thursday 1 to 4 p.m. and every Wednesday 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The pantry is closed on Wednesdays only from January through March. The pantry is closed on holidays. Remember to bring your reusable shopping bags.

The Express Food Pantry Truck will be at the pantry on Thursday, June 27. Sign-up begins at 1 p.m., and distribution is over at 1:45 p.m. For information call 326-2492.

Village of Silver Creek Republican Caucus

The Silver Creek Republican Committee will be holding a caucus for the nomination of Mayor and two Trustees for the upcoming November elections. The caucus will be held on Thursday, June 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the Village Board Room, 172 Central Ave., Silver Creek.

All village Republicans are invited to attend.

The County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA) Board of Directors will meet at the Fredonia Technology Incubator, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk, NY 14048, today at 10 a.m.

Get ready for the LHS Annual Giant Yard Sale

The Lakeshore Humane Society will hold its Annual Giant Yard Sale Saturday, Aug. 17 and Sunday, Aug. 18 at Floral Hall at the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds. Looking ahead to this fundraiser, individuals may want to consider setting aside usable items they no longer need.

Drop-off days for donation items will be Tuesday, Aug. 13 through Thursday, Aug. 15 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. No large appliances, metal bed springs, magazines, encyclopedias, clothing (except shoes) or electronics (TV’s, computer monitors, towers and printers). No mobile food pantry truck in July

The mobile food pantry truck will not be at the Brocton/Portland Food Pantry during the month of July. The food pantry truck will be at the pantry from Aug. 1 though Aug. 29.

SOAR Chapter 4-1 meeting and lunch set for today
