Ripley United Methodist Church breakfast to benefit Quincey Cemetery

The Ripley United Methodist Church is hosting an all-you-can-eat breakfast on Saturday, July 13 from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church, 84 W. Main St. in Ripley. Enjoy pancakes, sausage, bacon, made-to-order eggs and omelets, home fries, biscuits and sausage gravy, orange juice and coffee for $7. This month’s breakfast will benefit the Quincey Cemetery Association.

Thayer Road to be Closed Monday & Tuesday

Portland Highway Superintendent Kenneth Becker would like to inform Town of Portland residents that Thayer Road from Farr Road to Dean Road will be closed to all through traffic on Monday, July 15 to Tuesday, July 16 for blacktopping, weather permitting. Possible rain dates will be announced at a later date.

Yard sale to benefit Kingdom Kids Camp

There will be a large yard sale /bake sale on Saturday July 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Laona United Methodist Church on the corner of Wilson and Porter roads.

This fundraiser is for Kingdom Kids Camp, a camp started by Bruce and Evie Sievert four years ago. This camp is for under privileged children, for kids who cannot afford other camps. This camp is supported by private donations and fundraisers.

There will be a variety of items. Toys, household items, kids books and movies, household items. The bake sale will have cookies, brownies, breads, etc.

Forestville Fire District to Meet Thursday

The Forestville Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners will conduct its regular monthly meeting, Thursday, July 18 at 7 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Forestville Fire Station, located at 18 Chestnut Street.
