Brocton, Portland FDs offer reflective signs

The Brocton and Portland fire departments are offering reflective house signs to all residents of their districts. Sign applications can be purchased for $15 at the Brocton village offices or the Portland town offices. Information on the application will be forwarded to the resident’s fire department, which will have a sign made and then install it. Please note, the signs will only be installed until Oct. 31, then installation shuts down for the winter until April 1.

Psychic Fun Fest set for Saturday in Cassadaga

For a refreshing day, area residents are invited to enjoy Fellowships of the Spirit’s day-long Psychic Fun Fest on Saturday, July 20, 282 Dale Drive, Cassadaga, rain or shine. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fun Fest will offer mini-readings; holistic vendors; free healings; raffles, and lunch with free admission and parking.

Chautauqua County Board of Health to meet Thursday

The Chautauqua County Board of Health will hold its next meeting on Thursday, July 18, at 6 p.m. in the HRC Building, 4th Floor Conference Room, 7 N. Erie St. in Mayville. DFT Telephone Company Retirees meeting is Thursday

The next DFT Telephone Company Retirees meeting will take place Thursday, July 18 at 9 a.m. at Demetri’s on the Lake, 6 Lake Shore Drive W., Dunkirk. All retirees are invited. The get-together always takes place the third Thursday of the month.

Walker Road to close for blacktopping

Attention Portland residents: Walker Road from Route 20 to Route 5 will be closed to all through traffic Thursday and Friday for blacktopping, weather permitting. Rain dates to follow.
